Stars of the SNIP HAPPENS Calendar 2026!
This year we have TWO - yes 2 - fundraising calendars. The previous post highlighted the Dogs with Soul Calendar stars, and this post will introduce the SNIP HAPPENS! calendar stars!
SNIP HAPPENS is the 2026 calendar presenting studio photographs of dogs and cats and all proceeds will benefit Spay Today Healthy Pet Center. So far you have helped us raise over $1,600!
Let’s meet the dogs who helped raise that money!
Tater Tot
Tater Tot is a FAB little Yorkshire Terrier that never stops! He is fun and ever searching for a new friend or a new smell. He keeps us all young with constant walks and training. He is bunny and dog motivated and loves to camp with us and ride on our paddle board and he enjoys playing with our cat! He is a very sweet boy and is always happy to make your acquaintance!
Red & Bandit
Red and Bandits are siblings who entered the contest separately, but came in together for their portraits! Red is a true Rebel. We rescued her from the middle of nowhere and now she's one with the pack. Bandit is affectionately known as Bandito the Cheeto! This charming 7-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a tail is a little bundle of personality and mischief. While his culinary passion lies in shredded cheese (who can blame him?), his true calling is barking at absolutely nothing—because, let’s be honest, someone has to keep an eye on those pesky invisible intruders!
With a personality as vibrant as his name suggests, Bandit is not just a pet; he’s a loyal companion with a knack for turning everyday moments into unforgettable memories.
Bo & Randy
Bo is a handsome 4-year-old black lab mix. His litter was rescued from Texas during COVID and brought to Colorado. He suffered from puppy parvo but thrived with the care from the rescue organization and wonderful vets who make taking care of stray animals their passion! His family was able to adopt him at 10 weeks old and he has lived his best dog life ever since! He loves all things outdoors and wearing collars with bow ties to look extra handsome. Randy came in with Bo for a full family portrait session, and when it came time to fill the calendar months, we found we were one short. Randy overcame his bit of shyness and is now Mr. November, catching a treat.
Lulu
My name is LuLu. I was born in Texas in the spring of 2016, but had no home, so the wonderful people with Foothills Animal Shelter brought me to Colorado. I love stuffed toys, lounging on couches and walkies/rolls in the snow. I also love to talk (🎶lululululu🎶) and adore my 2 & 4 legged family members.
Brady Boy Blue
Brady is a Pocket Beagle! He weighs 13 pounds.
Brady's goal is to become certified as a psychiatric service dog through Service Animals.
Brady is a sweet little boy, but instantly became shy when the camera came out. Some animals feel threatened by a big round camera lens, as it resembles an eye of a possible predator! And he definitely did. So we were patient with him and did our best hiding the camera while comforting him with lots of treats.
Katniss
Katniss’ mom says “Katniss was a starving stray that was meowing at my back patio during a very nasty rainstorm. She was so skinny. I put out a bowl of food and she ate it all. I filled another bowl so she’d know I would keep feeding her. I brought her in, determined to find her a home, as I already had cats. I did find her a home, but by then I couldn’t part with her, she had my heart. She makes my heart happy.”
Teddy
Teddy was a stray kitten from Aurora, found with an upper respiratory infection and an eye ulcer. After some rehab with an amazing foster, Teddy was adopted to us to live a pampered life. Now, he lives with two other cats and his favorite dog friend, and he's a social, confident fluffy boy who has helped raise many under socialized foster kittens for the same adoption program that gave him his start!
Buddy
Buddy wants to be everyone’s best friend! He’s a stubborn but extremely sweet boy who enjoys cuddles, treats and zoomies. He’s a goofy boy who is excellent at putting a smile on your face!
Flora
Flora’s mom says “Flora - AKA FTD or Flora The Doodle - was a COVID puppy that I got at the beginning of COVID..not planned to happen that way. I had put a reserve on a pup from TRDoodles and when I returned from a trip she was ready to be adopted. We spent lots of time together training and walking in the 'hood' She's almost 5...frisky as ever and the Friendliest Dog on the Planet.”
Aspen
Aspen is a proud, seven year-old golden retriever rescue from Istanbul, Turkey, who loves calling Colorado home. Before she was rescued, Aspen gave birth to a litter of puppies after becoming pregnant by another stray in Turkey. While her and her puppies’ stories have happy endings, others in similar situations aren’t so lucky.
Aspen and her adopted family want to thank SpayToday for the team’s tireless efforts to reduce the number of unwanted pets who end up going without loving homes.
But back to the happy ending for Aspen! Today, she’s the Chief Joy Officer and resident therapy dog at TeamLogic IT of West Denver. She leads her pack in hikes, chasing sticks in mountain lakes, racing her dog friends in games of fetch, and finding new ways to put smiles on the faces of human friends and strangers, alike.
