It’s something we never want to think about - that we will outlive our pets - but it’s part of the pact we make with them when we bring them into our lives. That we will give them the best life we can, and do our best to help them over the Rainbow Bridge when the time is right.

While end of life sessions can be emotional, they can also be incredibly meaningful for both your pet and your family.

They provide an opportunity to celebrate your pet's life and the joy they have brought. By capturing these moments, we create lasting memories that honor your pet's legacy and provide comfort to the entire family.

End-of-life Pet Photo Sessions

If a Rainbow Session is something you are considering, Crimson Cat Studios can help. We will come to your home, and use only natural light to keep it quiet and calm. We’ll photograph your pet surrounded by their loving family and favorite toys. Your pet’s comfort will be the priority. Patience and love will dictate the session.

An End-of-Life or “Rainbow” Pet Photography Session may not be for everyone.

I thought about it with my tuxedo cat, Wilco, when I knew his last days were coming. But I hadn’t showered, I hadn’t slept, and this was not a moment I wanted to remember.

But something that was very comforting to me in my time of grief was looking back on all the photos I had of him. They were as close as I could get to having him next to me. I compiled all the pictures I’d ever taken of him and just looked at his furry face and chuckled at his goofiness.

Boy was I grateful for all those pictures.
